The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, representing universities and colleges in the United States, Canada, Europe and South America, has been handing out a Distinguished Service to Education award every year since 1941. Professor Thomas Symons is the only Canadian ever to win it, just one of the many accolades and achievements of this modest man from Peterborough. The founding President of Trent University, T.H.B.
